Obituary of Laurie' Vernon Crone

With heavy hearts we announce the death of a dear husband, dad, grandpa and friend; Laurence Vernon Crone whom was better known as "Laurie" passed away unexpectedly at Wainwright Health Centre on Thursday, October 5, 2017 at 85 years of age. Laurie will be lovingly remembered and dearly missed by his wife, of 55 years and 363 days, Sylvia; three children, Dwayne, Darlene (Ken) Wolfe and Vern (Tina); four grandchildren, Braden, Kade (Catherine), Kenny (Ty), and Tyela; great-grandchildren, Lincoln and Aiden; three siblings, Tommy (Bernice) Crone, Fritz (Jeannette) Crone and Mary Nelson; sister in law, June Crone; as well as many brothers and sisters in law, nieces and nephews, neighbours and friends. Laurie was predeceased by his parents, Gillman & Avaline Crone; parents in law, Alfred & Hazel Meland; three sisters, Violet, Rosalie and Gladys; one brother, Fred; one sister in law, Irene Crone; and two brothers in law, Addy Nelson and Francis Webster. A Funeral Service will be conducted on Wednesday, October 11, 2017, 2:00 p.m. from Amisk Hall, Amisk, Alberta. Interment will take place at Amisk Bethany Cemetery. If friends so desire, memorial donations will be gratefully received at Heart and Stroke Foundation of Canada.
