Obituary of Barbara Ponech

Barbara McCormack was born to Constance and Albert McCormack, she was the eldest and had two brothers and one sister. Barbara attended Fram Country School, the high school and Miller's Business College in Lloydminster. She was employed in Lloydminster for several years after leaving business college. Barbara married Matt Ponech, May 15, 1953. After leaving Lloydminster, Barbara moved several times before settling in Wainwright in 1970. She enjoyed gardening and reading. In sorrow at Barb's leaving and with rejoicing to have had her with us for 89 years; she will be dearly missed and lovingly remembered by her children, Patrick (Marilyn) and Daniel; grandchildren, Mackenzie (Charmaine) and Randi; great-grandson, Kayden; many extended family and friends. Barb was predeceased by her husband, Matt (1988); and parents, Albert and Connie McCormack. A Funeral Service took place Friday, January 19, 2018, 1:00 p.m. from the Grace United Church with Reverend Pamela Milton officiating and interment at Wainwright Cemetery.
