Hi Janette. I'm Melanie Carter from the UK. I'm very distantly related but heavily into the family tree. Others may have mentioned me. I met Victor many years ago at a 'pot luck' party arranged by Harold and Maxine Carter. I'm interested in the digital pictures of Victor for my family tree. Please can you email me on melaniecarter81@hotmail.com? Thank you!

I remember Uncle Vic as a fun loving guy who enjoyed Life to the fullest & enjoyed spending time with family & friends. He was a great tease, especially to the kids... Many a story he would share about his adventures, be it; chariot racing with his ponies & school bus, playing the fiddle at dances, cattle round-ups, , attending fairs, rodeos , even the Las Vegas Rodeo numerous times; , travelling & visiting friends & family in various places in Canada & the USA.. He LOVED his horses and the enjoyment they gave him. Whether he was buying, selling or trading ponies... it was his passion! He also had a great sense of timing... by that I mean he would arrive on your door step just about the exact time you were about to put dinner on the table. He loved a good home cooked meal & the company it brought. He peacefully left us to be with his family.... oh, can you imagine the fun they are up to now!!... Thank you Uncle Vic for the Laughs, Love & Memories, We will miss you dearly, but always have happy thoughts of you and how you touched our lives. Loads of Love.... Janette (Nettie)

Victor was a great friend. He stayed at my Mum and Dad's for some time and then with Mum after Dad passed. Our boys couldn't wait for summer holidays when they could go to Mum's and then Victor would take them to the fairs and races. He was so good to them and Mum too. He was part of our family for those years and we all have many fond memories. Deepest sympathy to his family and may we all cherish the memories he left with us . Gladys (Faulkner) Davis

Victor was a great person, always greeted you with a big old smile. He was a man that loved his horses and always had some around because they were good for his soul. I’ll miss the great stories that Victor would share about the cowboying that was done back in the day. Jesus just needed a good old cowboy to help run the range up yonder. Until we ride the range again Victor

Victor was one of the most wonderful fun loving men I have ever met. Victor was family.... he was a Grampa to me and meant the world to me and my children. He will always be in our hearts and memories..... He ws always ready with a joke or witty comment to make people laugh and smile. My favorite memory is going to the rodeos and betting quarters on the chuck wagons... every rodeo I attend I know you will be there with me Hoopee.... love you so much....you had a long wonderful life, rest now.

I’ll always remember Victor giving us (as children) a piece of gum or candy every time he saw us, a small but kind gesture that left an impression on a child...he was such a sweet man with a heart of gold. Full of many great stories, his wonderful sense of humor brought smiles and laughter to everyone around him...he will be deeply missed by many people who had the pleasure of knowing him...
