Our sympathy goes out to you Leroy, Ardelle, Brent and Wes and families. Phyllis was a lovely person, always caring and quiet and unassuming, wonderful nature. She and Leroy generously took both our kids under their wing and gave them a good start in skiing at Sugar Bowl. We have great memories and appreciation of that. May God bless you all and give you comfort and peace.

Phyllis and I were in the 1962 graduating class of Hughenden Central high school. We were both quiet by nature (particularly me) so I didn't get to know her very well at school. Little did I know at the time, that my uncle Leroy had his eye on her and that she would become my aunt! Phyllis was a real homemaker and a great cook as I discovered while working for Leroy over several summers. My wife, Judy, and I want to express our deep condolences to Uncle Leroy and Ardelle, Brent, Wes and their families. We have prayed and are praying for all of you during this difficult time, that you will know the comfort and peace that comes from God's loving heart.

I worked cultivating and harrowing the summerfallow for LeRoy one summer shortly after Pjyllis and LeRoy were married. One thing you noted when you drove into the yard was how immaculately Phyllis kept her yard and farm yard. Phyllis provided good, plentiful and nourishing noon meals and end of workday suppers....she was indeed talented in the home....

When I was a young lad of 16 I worked a summer for Uncle Leroy. One day I suffered an injury. Auntie Phyllis bandaged my wound and pampered me for a few days. I was well treated. Every time we saw each other after that summer we always had a big hug. I will miss her. RIP Auntie. I love you!!
