“Precious in the sight of the Lord is the death of His saints” Psalm 116:15
Another saint has left this world. Although we did not see Barbara often enough, we know she did not just live life.....she embraced it with passion. She was a wonderful lady who devoted her life to her family and community. Her kindness, compassion, and spirit will live on through all of you she has left behind.
Thinking of you all as you celebrate a remarkable life.

What an a amazing woman! The picture on the website here is perfect...she never changed! There are so many words to describe your “grandma T” ...like hard worker, passionate, proud...of all of her offspring, photographer, crafter , cook, spirited, kind, community minded....and on and on. What changes she saw in her 90+years and what independence she showed in her life. I’ll remember her for visiting the unwell and giving her wonderful reflexology Treatment’s, all to make them feel better. She cared, that was so evident! I will remember her helping me as a struggling 4Her with no clue how to groom let alone show a calf. I will be ever grateful for her guidance. Wayne remembers her for her passion for 4H and Herefords....and how “she made that club”. As you all gather to celebrate a life well lived I’m sure you’ll have many stories to share with the little ones so they will always know their heritage from “grandma T.” And you better write those stories down and make a book! I’m sure she’s walking free and easy (no quads in Heaven)through thigh high grass with Mike, while admiring a great herd of Herefords! Rest In Peace Barbara, rest well earned.

So sorry to hear that your Mom has passed. I still remember going to the farm with Gail. Our after-school snacks were donuts and pickled carrots. They were the best! What a great life she had with so many family members and memories. My condolences to all.

ANGEL=Barb Trefiak that’s what she was to so many of us on earth. I had the distinct pleasure of getting to know her well through Donna Johnston who was ill at the time. I would visit her often and Barb would be there so we became fast friends. She was a dear lady who gave selflessly of herself putting everyone’s needs ahead of her own. She was always eager to stop and chat wanting to know how YOU were never once caring that she may be the one with problems. You will all miss her dearly but so will those of us who thought of her as a dear friend. Keep her memories close to your heart and remember you were HER WORLD for all of her life from the time you entered it till the moment she left it. She lived for your visits and your calls. Her grandchildren and great grandchildren were her pride and joy. Their accomplishments she relished in. So continue on and do the the things that made her proud. But most of all never forget where you came from. Family was everything to her.!!!!!I know all of you will think of her often but think of her happily not sadly because that’s how she would want you to remember her. Love and hugs to you all.

I could never get over the craftsmanship and thought that went into every one of Grandma T,s blankets, afghans, sweater and slippers that she made for children, grandchildren and great grandchildren! Chancie has a blanket on his bed from her with all different tractors. She not only made beautiful things but knew what her family members liked! Although I didn’t see Grandma T very much, I knew that her family adored her. She will be missed very much!

To all of the Trefiak family, my condolences on your mother's passing. She was such a wonderful supporter and cheerleader of all her children, and no doubt of her grandchildren and great-grandchildren too. I have fond memories of staying a couple of weekends at your home on the farm at Gail's invitation when we were in high school, and your mother was very welcoming and generous. She also was a fine cook and baker - I remember she brought bags full of delicious home made donuts to basketball games that we all got to enjoy. I know you have many wonderful warm memories to treasure - may that provide some solace as you grieve.
With Sympathy,
Caroline Haydu
