Susan, I’m so sorry to hear of your Grandpa’s passing. It was always my pleasure to serve him and your Grandma tea and coffee in the afternoon when they were playing cards. They were very easy to please and always so appreciative. I really didn’t do floor nursing anymore but it brought back good memories of Nursing school when you did whatever you could to make the patient happy. And I hope I’m some small way I made his long days in Acute care a little more tolerable. He was a proud man who hated to give up but alas the battle was lost. So keep his memories close to your heart and he will be forever near. Take care and lots of hugs.
