That was a very nice service. The songs were top notch and the memories Janelle shared were so nice. Ede was such a special person to so many. You were blessed with a wonderful mother and grandmother. To hear she had a project on the go a week before she died is so comforting. Enjoy your memories.

It was around twelve years ago when Aunt Ede and I got to play a few tunes together at the reunion (she fiddled and I strummed along on my guitar). Later, I asked her for a dance, and while we danced I said how wonderful it had been for me, playing together. She, being her modest self, said "I just don't seem to be able to play that well anymore." We had to sit down then, because we laughed so much at my response. I said, "Maybe when you stop galavanting around to all those rodeos you'll have some time to practice." We love you Aunt Ede, and will miss you, Roger & Alison York.

Dear Marilyn and Marjorie and families, Our thoughts are with you and our sincere condolences. We all clung onto Aunt Ede as the last representative of her generation. My mom will be happy to have her rodeo partner with her, “Thelma and Louise“ are together and they will all be having their own reunion. I have many fond memories where Aunt Ede will live on forever. Marjorie and Marilyn and families, our thoughts are with you; our sincere condolences.
Ede and Mom (Marjorie Mailer) rekindled an old friendship at Points West and often talked of their days at Black Hills school in the 1920s. It was such a pleasure, and an honour to hear of their history...the hard work of homesteading, and also the fun they had. Ede was so lovely and kind, so perceptive and lively, she will be missed by all who knew her!
