On Mike's birthday back in 2016 I walked through his door with a box of Lucky Lager and had a seat, and waited patiently as he just started a phone call. Someone named Nikki phoned him to tell him happy birthday, and catch up quickly. As I sat.there, he asked Nikki how the band was doing and how Mick and Tom were doing and said he heard Vince was a bit of a train wreck. I quickly realized the person who phoned him to say happy birthday was in fact Nikki Sixx, founder and bass player for the multi platinum Hard rock band Motley Crue. Well I was beside myself and I got the chance to say hello to a bunch of guys in which I idolized growing up and had been a huge influence I my own drive in learning various I struments and playing on.stage. I was in my glory and in awe of my humble rocker of a friend. Awesome drummer. I miss him so much. I love you my brother. I can not believe I never got any phone calls to say uyou were in hospital here or I would have gone and kept you company. Till we meet again sir! Rock on!
