Obituary of Ericka "Ricky" Nash

It is with great sadness that the family of Ericka (Ricky) Dorcas Nash announces her passing after a struggle with cancer, on May 22, 2021, at the age of 65 years. Ricky will be lovingly remembered by her children Jessica (Russ) Lutz and Lenard (Doreen Foley) Nash, stepdaughter Lorraine Leiding, and brothers Carson (Marianne), Charlie (Stephanie), and Tony (Carol) Schultz. She will also be missed her two grandchildren, Shelby and Ryker Lutz, and her four step-grandchildren, Nicole and Tegan Foley, Logan and D.J. Leiding, and numerous nieces and nephews. She is preceded in death by her parents Eric and Dorcas Schultz, husband Frederick Nash, brothers Jim and Everett Schultz, and step-grandson Davin Leiding. Born in Cochrane, AB, Ricky spent many years in Wainwright, AB. She was loved by everyone and known for her beauty, compassion, hard work, and a dash of crazy! She served the Buffalo Trails School Division for 30 years making sure everything was spic and span! “Picky Ricky” was meticulous and thoughtful with every action. She had a warm glow infused with her laugh, sense of humour, endless energy, and stubbornness. She loved the outdoors and spending time with loved ones – especially her grandkids. There will be no funeral services for Ricky. Memorial donations in memory of Ricky can be made to the Alberta Cancer Foundation (www.albertacancer.ca/donate/).
