Obituary of James Raymond Christensen

On Friday, June 4, 2021 Mr. James Christensen of Edgerton, Alberta passed away at the Killam Health Care Centre, Killam, Alberta at the age of 90 years. Jim is survived by his loving family; wife, Lorna; five children, Connie (Rod) Maloney of Stony Plain, Alberta, Marlene (Richard) Pegg of Quesnel, British Columbia, Chris (Jane) Christensen of Edgerton, Marilyn Christensen of Langley, British Columbia, Jackie (Rod) Bouck of Kitscoty, Alberta; four step children, Michelle Pearcey of Winnipeg, Manitoba, Bradley (Kara) Rennie of Grande Prairie, Alberta, Craig Rennie of Edmonton, Alberta, Tammy (Jon) Tondu of Drayton Valley, Alberta; thirteen grandchildren; eight step grandchildren; his great grandchildren and great great grandchildren; one brother, Hans Christensen of Wainwright, Alberta. He was predeceased by two sisters, Arlene Campbell and Betty Melvin; two brothers, Bernard Christensen and Arnold Christensen. A private family service for Jim will be conducted on Wednesday, June 9, 2021 at 11:00 AM from Creech’s Funeral Home, Wainwright. Friends and family wishing to participate may do so via the Watch Webcast link below the photo or under the photos and video tab above. Interment will take place immediately following the service at the Edgerton Cemetery. Friends wishing to pay their respects and acknowledge the family are welcome to park along the road leading to the cemetery and stand by their vehicles in an honor guard.
