Velma was a loving wife and mother totally committed to the well-being of her family. She took
exceptional delight in her grandchildren and great grandchildren. Velma was a loyal friend
throughout her life. Her family had the blessing of her love and concern for each of us and will
miss her deeply. Memories of Velma will be treasured by all who knew her.
Velma loved being a partner in life and love with Edward and spent most of their years farming
in the Glidden, Saskatchewan area. They retired and moved to Medicine Hat where they both
enjoyed more than 20 years together in that phase of their life. Velma moved to the Irma,
Wainwright area in summer, 2019 and for the past two years lived as a resident in Points West,
Wainwright. Velma passed away in the Camrose hospital, peacefully with family assuring her of
their love.
Due to Covid restrictions the immediate family will hold a special gathering of honouring and remembering Velma. Any donations you might wish to make in Velma’s honour could be done to the charity of your choice.
