My heart has been heavy since hearing the news of Alan’s passing. Ruth and family, my sincere heartfelt sympathy to you.Sending you all hugs and much love. May your memories of this special man carry you through these difficult days. Ruth, you were the love of his life, he was so proud of his family,he spoke of all of you often. I am honoured to have known him,and to have called him friend. Affectionately known to many of us as “Grandpa” , I cherish the conversations ,laughs,and yes a drink or two that we shared.I always looked forward to running into him,whether it be at Crescent Auto while Jim was doing an oil change for him, or sharing an afternoon visit full of stories and laughter at the Springs and sometimes at Morley’s.Heaven just got a heck of a man. He truly was a one of a kind and I am lucky to have known him and will cherish the memories I have of him. I will miss that grin. Rest easy my friend, your work here is done .Til we meet again
