Bruce was the main instigator in getting the Wainwright Treatle Viewing Area for use by our Municipality. For years nothing happened to provide a site for this tourism attraction. When The Way of the West approached Bruce he said "!I will get right on that"... He made several trips over the area and chose what he thought was the best and in no time...the MD were at work.
Again ..thanks so much Bruce!!
Sue Frissell, Chair of Way of the West

Uncle Bruce, for me, was a kind man who's sweetness was hidden under a gruff exterior. He would take time out from his busy farm and skidoo operations to order one of the boys to put a throttle block on the "baby Ski-Doo" for pesky niece Susie. He let me wander the farm and go into the pig barns to visit the piglets. He had the coolest farm equipment, and his farm was the first place I saw a hillside combine. Perhaps the freedom to explore that he allowed me was just him finding a creative way to give my mom and dad a momentary break from parenting, Whatever the reason for his generosity, it was greatly appreciated by this city mouse.
In my humble opinion, he left this world a better place than it was when he came into it. An honourable achievement.

Deepest sympathy to the Willerton families on your loss of Bruce.
Farming and politics were his passion! Bruce was quick to share his opinion and give you an answer to questions asked. It may not have been the answer you wanted but you knew where he stood. He was a straight shooter and a deal was a deal.
He will be missed.
