I was so sad to hear of the loss of such a wonderful loving man. I know he will be sorely missed by all the old time dance crowd and lots more. I will him too

I was shocked and saddened to hear of Tuffy's passing. We were friends as kids and although we hadn't seen much of each other of late I will always remember Tuffy as a kind and gentle man. RIP.

Uncle Tuffy you were the best. You were one of the kindest souls I ever met. As a child I always loved visiting you because you were always so warm and funny and fun. As an adult I came to appreciate your incredible kindness and compassion for others. I so appreciated you helping my sister through her cancer. And I loved how you and mom spoke on the phone so often. I wish I could give you a big hug right now. I know there is peace on the other side.

Tuffy had a love for many things. His family, old time music, and visiting with people. It was nothing for him to drive a couple of hours to attend one of the music jams or a hicks in the sticks. Although his back prevented him from dancing, he enjoyed just being there watching, listening, and visiting.
He was a hard worker for our farm for twenty five years. Although at times he was a hard player, he was also a devoted and hardworking man for us. He loved being up early in the mornings, starting tractors, checking oil and filling diesel tanks. You always knew that he had things ready to go. He was "once a farmer, always a farmer."
He also had a very kind heart. He drove countless friends to their appointments when they needed a ride. They would be picked up at their house, taken to their appointment and delivered back home. Many times this was an all day trip. He loved driving and loved helping people.
Our thoughts and prayers to his girls and grandchildren on their loss.
We will cherish our memories of Tuffy and will miss him forever.
