Obituary of Yvonne Simone Kreisz

On Wednesday, November 9, 2022 Mrs. Yvonne Simone Kreisz of Hughenden, Alberta passed away at the Wainwright Health Center at the age of 70 due to Cancer. On January 10, 1969 Yvonne married the love of her life, Ronald Kreisz. They resided on the farm north of Hughenden. Yvonne loved gardening, her trees, her animals and Elvis. Yvonne helped Ron with the farming and numerous chores that happened daily on the farm, from bringing food out to the field duing harvest, feeding the cattle in the winter, pulling calves in the spring and raising two children. She was just a 100% wonderful person. Yvonne worked as a cook at Crossroads Cafe and at the Amisk General Store in her spare time, which was minimal. Yvonne loved her sports, she enjoyed curling, watching Ronda and Troy at ball tournaments and watching Michael play hockey, as well as going to her grandsons sporting events. Yvonne is survived by her loving family, her husband, Ron Kreisz of Hughenden; two children, Ronda (Troy) LaHaye of Wainwright, Michael Kreisz of Hanna, grandchildren, Jeffrey (Jesse Smith) LaHaye, Tanner Kreisz, Caleb Kreisz; brother Gerald (Mary) Paulson of Amisk, brother-in-law, Gary Bishop of Edmonton, brother-in-law, Jack (Gail) Kreisz of Saskatoon, as well as numerous nieces and nephews. Yvonne is predeceased by her parents, Alice & Gunnar Paulson; three sisters, Velma (Art) Schultz, Beulah Bishop, and Darlene (Ron) Beck. A Graveside service with family and close friends will take place at the Lakeview Cemetery, Hughenden in summer of 2023. If so desired, the family suggests memorial contributions be made to S.T.A.R.S. or to the charity of choice.
