Obituary of Donald Monroe Pollard

On Monday, February 20, 2023 Mr. Donald Pollard of Chauvin, Alberta passed away at the Misericordia Hospital in Edmonton, Alberta at the age of 73 years.

Don is survived by his loving family; three daughters, Tracey Christensen of Chauvin, Gerri (Keith Johnston) Pollard of Edgerton, Alberta, Avery (Damon) Zajic of Edgerton; six grandchildren, Alyssa Olson, Brent Olson, Devon Smith, Lucas Smith, Matthew Zajic, Tucker Zajic.  He also leaves behind numerous nieces and nephews that all had their own special memories of “Uncle Don the Great”.  Don is predeceased by his parents, George and Nellie Pollard; son-in-law, Arnie Christensen; siblings, Bernard Pollard, Lila Butterworth, Freda Walasiuk, Gladys Hlushak, George Pollard.

Keeping with Don’s wishes cremation has taken place and a private family service will take place.  Family and friends are welcome to visit Creech’s Funeral Home on Monday, February 27, 2023 between 1:00 and 3:00 PM to pay their respects to Don and his family.  If so desired the family suggests memorial contributions be made to the Wainwright Handivan Society.
