Obituary of Allan Richard Johnson

On Monday, March 6, 2023 Mr. Allan Johnson of Hughenden, Alberta passed away at the Wainwright Health Centre at the age of 81 years.

Allan is survived by his loving wife of 60 years, Marilyn; two children, Corinne (Steven) Melin of Sherwood Park, Alberta, Derek (Marian) Johnson of Hughenden, Alberta; five grandchildren, Christopher (Caron) Melin and their children Olivia and Parker, Aaron (Kailey) Melin and their children Brinley and Hallie, Nicole (Garrett Southoff) Johnson, Quinn (Amber Danderfer) Johnson, Jared Johnson.  He is also survived by one brother, Wendell Johnson of Pierceland, Saskatchewan; brothers-in-law, LeRoy Holte and Jim Chenoweth and numerous nieces and nephews.  Allan was predeceased by his parents, Hilmer and Grace Johnson; sister, Phyllis Holte; brother, William Johnson; sisters-in-law Donna Johnson and Connie Southwell; father-in-law and mother-in-law, Allen and Jean Roddick.

A Celebration of life for Allan will take place on Monday, March 13, 2023 at 2:00 PM at the Hughenden Community Hall.  Interment will take place prior to the service at the Lakeview Cemetery, Hughenden.  If family and friends so desire, memorial donations may be made to the Lakeview Cemetery, the Pressure Relief Beds for Long-term Care at the Wainwright Health Centre (cheques to be made  payable to the Wainwright & District Health Foundation), or to a charity of the donor’s choice.
