Obituary of William John Mansfield

On Tuesday, March 28, 2023 Mr. Bill Mansfield of Wainwright, Alberta passed away suddenly at his home at the age of 84 years.

Bill is survived by his loving wife, Jean; two children, Joan Christensen of Stony Plain, Alberta & John (Sherry) Christensen of Irma, Alberta; daughter-in-law Tracey Christensen of Chauvin, Alberta; grandchildren, Bailey (Jordan Miller) Christensen, Cara (Doug Gariepy) Christensen and their children Cayden Christensen & Isaac Gariepy.  Bill will be fondly remembered by his siblings: Mary Goede-Kohn of High Prairie, Noma Morrissey of Edmonton, Ann (Jim) Geldreich of Bow Island; sister-in-law, Joan Mansfield of Calgary.  He is predeceased by his parents, John and Isobel Mansfield; son, Arnie Christensen; brothers, Oswald Mansfield & Ronald Mansfield; sister, Joan Torgerson; brothers-in-law, Orville Torgerson, Clifford Morrissey, George Goede and Ben Kohn; and nephews, Ronald Goede, John Goede.

A Funeral Service for Bill will be conducted on Monday, April 3, 2023 at 1:00 PM at the Grace United Church, Wainwright.  Interment will follow in the Wainwright Cemetery.  If so desired the family suggests memorial contributions be made to the Wainwright Cemetery Association or The Wainwright & District Handivan Society.
