Obituary of Lorna Laverne Christensen

On Friday, April 21, 2023 Mrs. Lorna Christensen of Wainwright, Alberta and formerly of Edgerton, Alberta passed away at her home at Points West Living at the age of 83 Years.

Lorna is survived by four children, Michelle Pearcey of Winnipeg, Manitoba, Bradley (Cara) Rennie of Grande Prairie, Alberta, Craig Rennie of Edmonton, Alberta, Tammy (Jon) Tondu of Drayton Valley, Alberta; five step-children, Connie (Rod) Maloney of Stony Plain, Alberta, Marlene (Richard) Pegg of Quesnel, British Columbia, Chris (Jane) Christensen of Edgerton, Marilyn Christensen of Merritt, British Columbia, Jacqueline (Rod) Bouck of Kitscoty, Alberta; twenty one grandchildren; thirteen great grandchildren; her siblings, Cliff (Janine) Soucy, Judy Nichol, Charlie (Gayle) Soucy, Gary (Laurie) Soucy; as well as numerous nieces and nephews.  She was predeceased by her husband, Jim and her parents, Laurier and Ann Soucy.

A Funeral service for Lorna will be conducted on Friday, April 28, 2023 at 11:00 AM from the Edgerton Agricultural Hall.  Interment will follow in the Edgerton Cemetery.  If so desired the family suggests memorial contributions be made to the Alberta Cancer Foundation or to the Edgerton Historical Society.
