Obituary of Leona Anastasia Maddex

On Saturday, June 3, 2023 Mrs. Leona Maddex of Wainwright, Alberta passed away at the Wainwright Auxiliary Hospital at the age of 85 years.

Leona is survived by her children, May Ann Swanson of Wainwright, Zen (Donna) Artindale of Wainwright, Brian (Arlene) Artindale of Wainwright, Jim (Anne) Artindale of Calgary, Alberta, Don (Deb) Dettman of Champion, Alberta, Christine (Vern) Eeles of Wainwright, Brian (Lorna) Artindale of Red Deer, Alberta; many grandchildren, great grandchildren and all of the extended Maddex Family.  She was predeceased by her parents, Stanley and Gertrude Krawiec; husbands, Karl Artindale and Phil Maddex; son, Doug Artindale; daughter, Mickey Sheridan; three granddaughters, Rhiannon Dettman, Leona Swanson, Rebecca Swanson; grandson, Justin Artindale; two brothers, Leon Krawiec, William Krawiec; brother-in-law, Allen Hartfelder; sister-in-law, Lynn Krawiec.

A Private family service for Leona will be taking place on Saturday, June 10, 2023.  Interment will follow in the Wainwright Cemetery.  If so desired the family suggests memorial contributions be made to the Alberta Cancer Foundation or to the Canadian Diabetes Association.
