Obituary of Betty Ann Callaghan

On Friday, June 16, 2023 Mrs. Betty Callaghan of Wainwright, Alberta passed away at the Wainwright Health Centre at the age of 76 years.

Betty is survived by her loving family; devoted husband of 56 years, Vic; her three children, Doug (Pam) Callaghan of Wainwright, Lynn (Evered) Butler of Edmonton, Alberta, Lorrie (Ryan) Becher of Red Deer, Alberta; her seven grandchildren, Mitchell (Shae Gaudet) Callaghan, Hailey Callaghan, Michael (Christine Pagels) Butler, Parker Butler, Ian Butler, Chloe Becher and Rhett Becher.  Betty also leaves behind, two sisters, Luella (Fred) Lukianow and Doris Marko; her brother, Bob (Claudia) Williams; brothers-in-law and sisters-in-law, Barry (Sylvia) Callaghan, Joyce (Dennis) Baker, Joyce Williams.  She was predeceased by her parents, Richard and Mabel Williams and her twin brother, Jim Williams.

A funeral service for Betty will be conducted on Friday, June 23, 2023 at 11:00 AM from the Church of The Nazarene with Pastor Ryan Wood officiating.  Cremation will take place following the service and Betty will be laid to rest in the Wainwright Cemetery at a future date.  If so desired the family suggests memorial contributions be made to the Battle River Historical Society, Box 2994, Wainwright, Alberta, T9W 1S9 or to the Wainwright Quota Club, 917-6^th Avenue, Wainwright, Alberta, T9W 1C7.
