Obituary of David William Mitchell

On Friday, June 16, 2023, Mr. David Mitchell of Hughenden, Alberta passed away suddenly at the University of Alberta Hospital at the age of 82 years.

Dave is survived by his wife of 59 years, Shirley; two sons, Ken Mitchell of Red Deer, Alberta and Colin Mitchell of Edmonton, Alberta; his brother, Frank (Anne) Mitchell; sister in law, Marilyn MacNeil of Kelowna, British Columbia; numerous nieces, nephews and friends.  He was predeceased by his parents, Bill and Margaret Mitchell and two sisters, Ann Peterson and Heather Wall; sister in law, Pat (Boyd) Morris; brother in law, Ed Wilkie.

A Funeral service for Dave will be conducted on Saturday, June 24, 2023, at 2:00 pm from the Hughenden Community Hall.  Interment will take place at the Lakeview Cemetery.  If so desired the family suggests memorial contributions be made to the Hughenden and Area Community Fund, C/O Battle River Community Foundation, Box 1122, Camrose, Alberta, T4V 4E7.
