Obituary of Keith Currie

On Tuesday, July 25, 2023 Mr. Keith Currie of Irma, Alberta passed away at the Wainwright Long Term Care Centre Wainwright, Alberta at the age of 88 years.

Keith is survived by his wife, Maureen (Nee Dempsey) Currie; three children, Ian (Lois) Currie of Wainwright, Leigh (Glen) Maxwell of Viking, Alberta, David (Katherine) Currie of Saskatoon, Saskatchewan; son-in-law, Ron Rodgers of Wainwright; seven grandchildren, Jessica (Kirk) Hopko, Mark Currie, Lexi Maxwell, Bryce Maxwell, Storm Rodgers, Kirsten Rodgers, Mason Rodgers; one brother, Ron Currie of Edmonton, Alberta; one brother-in-law, Ron Dempsey of Irma.  Keith was predeceased by son, Alex Currie; daughter, Amy Rodgers; parents, Leigh and Kathleen Currie; sisters, Dorothy (Nip) Cox, Mary (Ron) Clark; sisters-in-law, Evelyn Currie and Aletha Dempsey.

A private graveside service for Keith will take place on Saturday, August 26, 2023 at the Irma Cemetery.  Following the graveside service the family would like to invite you to a come and go time of remembrance for Keith at the Irma Curling Club starting at 11:30 AM.  A light lunch and fellowship will take place.  If so desired the family suggests memorial contributions be made to the Wainwright Community Health Foundation (Pressure Relief Beds), Box 3540, Wainwright, Alberta, T9W 1T5 or the charity of the choice.
