Obituary of Joan "Betty" McBride

On behalf of Judy and Terry and their familes, we announce the death of their Mom, Grandma and Dear Friend; Betty McBride passed away Sunday, January 8, 2017. Betty was the last surviving Jackson and was residing at the Wainwright Auxiliary Hospital when she passed away at 90 years of age. Betty is survived by her daughters, Judy (Greg) Diemert and Terry (Marcel) Berard; grandchildren, Sean (Tonya) Diemert, Cheryl (Jaye) Paige, Jason (Paige) Diemert, Steven Hite, Shayleen (Brandon) Allin; great grandchildren, Brayden and Jordan Diemert, Landon and Taya Paige and Maria and Jaxen Diemert; sisters-in law, Margaret Pawsey and Lenor McBride; as well as many nieces and nephews and friends. She was predeceased by her husband, Stan; daughter, Gail; parents, Lance and Beatrice Jackson; parents in law, Fred and Elsie McBride; siblings, Bill Jackson, Sylvia Leskow and Marguerite Haydu; sisters in law, Reta Stanyer and Bea Jackson; brothers in law, Bill McBride, Eddie McBride, Clare McBride, Art Pawsey, Bill Stanyer and Ivan Leskow. The family wish to extend their gratitude to the staff at Continuing Care , Wainwright for the excellent care, love and kindness Mom received in her last years. If friends so desire, Memorial Donations can be made to Wainwright Continuing Care Center Patient Comfort Fund. A Funeral Service willbe held Saturday, January 14, 2017, 10:00 a.m. at St. Thomas Anglican Church, Wainwright, Alberta with Reverend Peter Yeung officiating.
