Dave was one of my closest friends in my high school years. Together with Dennis and Sung-Woo we were a close knit gang who did pretty much everything together from the camping trip of 84 at Agenda Provincial Park with Christa, Connie, Gord and Deanna, seeing Triumph at Maple Leaf Gardens in 85 and watching 80s action movies from Bond to Rambo at the Bramalea City Centre and Shoppers World Cinemas. Dave was always the entertainment innovator, bringing to the group new rock, pop and metal albums from the 80s and playing them on his ghetto blaster, and as the first of our group with a video tape player, movie night was always at his house. We played rugby together on the Mayfield team, served as prefects together, worked for the City of Brampton at the same time and Dave and I were always each others wing men at Mayfield school dances. Dave was one of those people whose natural state of being was smiling and had a great and kooky sense of humor that kept us laughing. But he also had a good heart and was always there with supportive words after the loss of my mum who he knew well. His passing way too young has come as a shock and brought much sadness to me, my family and his friends from our years at Mayfield High. He will be missed but never forgotten. Sending my sincere condolences to Dave's family.

Geocaching. Dave would NEVER give up until even the hardest cache was found. You could ALWAYS count on Dave, no matter the weather or season to scramble through dense brush, barbed wire, or chest-deep water.
ALSO.... Dave would tell you to never ever drink a large coffee on an empty stomach when Teri is driving. Teri is a great driver, but no stomach can withstand her U-turns. Dave learned that one the hard way, and yet onwards and upwards to the next cache!
I miss you Dave. I hope you can geocache where you are ❤️

I met Dave on our ammo tech course. We spent the summer waiting for training and cleaning up the Borden training area working with Range control. He took me home one weekend to meet his family and enjoy some time away from the base. He was a good man and he will be missed. RIP friend

I first met Dave in Camp Ripley Minnesota of all places. Following that he and I continued to bump into each other through the years. He was an early mentor for me in the Ammo Tech trade and a good sounding board for me later in my career. He was a gentleman at work and a gentle soul in life.

It was honour to know Dave. He was hands down one of the gentlest souls I have ever met. He was always there for others, as a friend, the warrior, the guide. On every adventure he was always to jokester, the story teller, and everyone’s friend.
He will be missed, and I hope he’s causing trouble where he is. He was fiercely proud of his family, and the love you all share is a beautiful legacy.

Great memories created with Dave and his family in Yellowstone. Dave and I even got to fly fish along one of the many rivers thru the park. Even got to enjoy a beer or two lol.

Dave was an absolute gem! I had the great honor of sharing beers and stories with him on many days when we worked together. He was a great addition to those long canning days. It was impossible to miss how proud he was of his family how much he enjoyed the company of his friends. Deepest condolences he will be missed by everyone who knew him.
