Obituary of David Michael Ralph McCabe

On Friday, April 14, 2023 Mr. David McCabe of Wainwright, Alberta passed away suddenly at the Wainwright Health Centre at the age of 54 Years. 

Dave was born in North York (Toronto) Ontario.  He joined the army as a young man and served his country for 28 years.  He was involved in a variety of deployments both at home and abroad.   He will be missed deeply by all who knew and loved him.

David is survived by his wife, Dorinda McCabe, who shared with him many happy times and even more wacky adventures.  She will miss his loving presence everyday.  He is also survived by his children, Amy and Ian who were blessed to have such a devoted father in their lives.  David’s father, Michael and brother, Murray both of Sarnia Ontario will remember him as a proud and loving family man, who always put loved ones first.

Dave’s passing is a great loss to his friends and family.  He touched many lives with his warmth, kindness and generous spirit.  His legacy will live on through the many memories he has left behind.

A Celebration of life for David will be conducted on Saturday, April 22, 2023 at 10:30 AM from the Royal Canadian Legion, Wainwright.  If so desired the family suggests memorial contributions be made to valourplace.ca, woundedwarriors.ca (PTSD Service Dogs) or your local Humane Society.
