Obituary of Eleanor Katherine Abbott

On Tuesday, August 1^st, 2023, Mrs. Eleanor Abbott of Edgerton, Alberta passed away at the Wainwright Long Term Care Centre Wainwright, Alberta at the age of 93 years.

Eleanor is survived by her two children; Elaine (Bruce Mclock) Abbott of Ladysmith, British Columbia and Alf (Debbie Willner) Abbott of Edgerton, Alberta; grandchildren, Mark Abbott and Miranda (Greg) Abbott all of Edmonton, Alberta; great-grandchildren, Treyton and Rylan; eight brothers and sisters, Ida, Elsie, Harold, Armand, Alvina, Serena, Paul, and Janet; as well as numerous sisters-in-law, brothers-in-law, nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by her husband, John Edward “Ted” on December 12, 2013; parents, Martin and Mary Gramlich; brothers, Archie in 1965 and Jim in 2019; grandparents, George and Maria Schmidt.

A Graveside service with family and friends is taking place on Wednesday, August 23, 2023 at 11:00 AM from the Provost Cemetery, Provost, Alberta.  A luncheon will follow the service. If so desired, the family suggests any memorial contributions be made to Heart and Stroke Foundation of Canada or to the arity of choice.
